OUR TUTORS

Our tutors are students and graduates of tier one institutions like Stanford University, Cornell University, and Purdue University. Tutors are chosen for their knowledge of subjects, experience, and patience.

Josh is a typical tutor at Math Science Buddy. He has been tutoring since high school. Josh received a full scholarship to Purdue University where he tutored for all four years. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at Stanford where he does research and is a teaching assistant.

At Math Science Buddy, Josh teaches Chemistry, Math, and SAT test preparation in a laid-back but structured style that is not only highly effective but also one that students enjoy. He uses many analogies and offers test-taking tips and time management ideas. He also talks about his own experiences, for example, about how he juggled his extracurricular activities while still excelling in his studies.

Josh’s students are his testimonials. One of Josh’s students, a high school sophomore, took the high school Advanced Placement Chemistry exam and passed with flying colors. She went on to take Chemistry at the UC Berkeley Summer Session and finished at the top of her class.
